Would you choose the same names for your children if they were born today?

Not asking if you dislike the names you gave your children. And names really become the person, it's difficult to imagine them called anything else (we were going to call dd Jessica for about the first 7 months of my pregnancy but changed our minds and now just cannot imagine her with that name at all).

So, if you were to be starting your family all over again, do you think you would choose the same names? And how old are your kids?
I think we would choose the same. I still love the names. Not too popular but no one ever bats an eyelid at them so not odd. They are 19 and 14.
But Nina would now be a very strong contender!

And I think each boy would suit his middle name too. I might have a week of midle names!

Yes I would. DS is 9, he suits his name and he loves it. He likes that it is unusual (only 4 people on FB share his first name)but he is also excited when he meets anyone who knows someone with his name.

My family were a bit Hmm and Confused about it at the start, but now they all love it too.Smile

Without a doubt.

A bit of a trashy sleb used my son's name as a middle name a couple of years ago and it spoilt it a bit tbh. It's not the end of the world but in hindsight I would have fought harder for my choice (Max). Doesn't really matter, though, I can't imagine DS as anything else now.

I would have called DS by the name I wanted to call him instead of losing courage at the last minute.

My boys, absolutely yes.

DD, I'm not sure. I love her name and always wanted to use it for a DD. But 14 years ago, it was rare and now it's much more common. I'm not sure the popularity of it nowadays wouldn't put me off. Suits her though.
