After much agonising, we've drilled the list for DD2 down to the toll

Flora. Don't like any of the others, sorry

squoosh · 19/04/2016 13:06

Annabel - too sloaney and too horsey
Portia - love it
Aurelia - pretty
Aurora - too much of a mouthful
Flora - sturdy hipped farmer's wife from Auchtermuchty

Aurelia :) xx

nectarini1983 · 19/04/2016 15:13

I agree with mrsshu's comments.

Aurelia or Aurora for me!

cecilelliott · 19/04/2016 21:39

Flora definitely. And I don't think that IRL the margarine connection will really be a problem, partly because there are loads of margarines these days and so I don't think Flora has the strong association it used to have.

RiverTam · 19/04/2016 21:40

Portia

1horatio · 19/04/2016 21:49

I love all of them except for Portia, which apparently means pig :(

  1. Annabel
  2. Flora
  3. Aurelia
  4. Aurelia
. . . Portia....
1horatio · 19/04/2016 21:50

Oops, number 3 should have been Aurora...
So:

  1. Annabel
  2. Flora
  3. Aurora
  4. Aurelia
Allalonenow · 19/04/2016 22:09

I wouldn't use Annabel, as there are already very many Belles & Bellas and versions of them, and Annabel is sure to get a version of Belle as a nn.

Flora, very pretty for a little girl and makes the transition to a grown up name well, but getting more popular just now.

Portia, Aurelia and Aurora, these are a bit "trying too hard" for my taste, and how well they worked would depend a lot on your surname, of the three I think Aurelia is pretty.

  1. Aurelia
  2. Flora
  3. Portia
  4. Annabel
  5. Aurora

Only name I like is Aurelia. I know an Aurora & she's a 5-year-old nightmare!
