We are expecting DC 5 and are a bit stumped...all our favourites being already used up on the others.

Here is a list of names we like- our DC names are on here, plus others we like but can't use for various reasons ( too similar, family members with same names etc). Our preference is for classic names that are not massively common (though some on the list are fairly common), but not too wacky.

I'd love some more ideas! Only 11 weeks so far and don't know the sex.

Elise
Beatrice
Anna
Francesca
Elsie
Adelaide
Lucia
Clementine

James
Alfred/Alfie
Elijah
William/Billy
Theodore/Teddy
Solomon

Surname isn't really De Ville! I just said that so someone suggested "Cruella" ;-)

Marguerite and Evangeline are both really nice. Digby is definitely a dog's name imo, sorry.

From your original list I really like Elsie, and all your boy's names (with the possible exception of Alfie as it's just do over done).

How about David with Welsh nn Dewi?

squoosh · 07/03/2016 11:29

Cleo and Rafe

You mentioned Digby upthread, but that has giant dog connotations, what about Digory (or Diggory) for a boy's name. I came across it in The Magician's Nephew (CS Lewis, Narnia) (and there's a Diggory in a Thomas Hardy novel). It's an old Breton (Cornish/French) name. 'Digs' for short.
