Longer name with nickname of beau (for a boy)

Does anyone know of a longer name with a nickname of bo/ beau for a boy?

Further to my last post, we still love Beau but are worried that he might not like it when he's older and would like it to be easier for him to be known by something else.

I've heard of Beauregard and Bodhi. Are there any others?

Xx

Bodie was one of the detectives in The Professionals, played by Lewis Collins

I work with a Beaufort, nn Beau
I know a Bodeun, nn Bo

Bojangles !! The only problem with 'Beau' spelt like that is that it means beautiful, so the poor boy will have the p* taken out of him with that name!

Bosun ? As in a ship's something-or-other.
Do tell us what you decide!

Handsome, not beautiful

shutupandshop · 26/02/2016 17:09

It means handsome not beautiful.

JosephBrodsky · 26/02/2016 20:03

If he hates Beau when he's older, shouldn't you give him a slightly less self-consciously quirky full name than Beauregard or Bodhi? Which will be forever the brat who turned into a blueberry in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the surfer robber dude from Point Break...

Chottie · 26/02/2016 20:07

Melanie Hamilton's son was called Beau (short for Beauregard the name of her son's father's commanding officer) - Gone with the wind.

There a Boady in my DS class at school

JudgeJudySheindlin · 26/02/2016 22:54

Heard of a recent Beaumont who is known as Beau. Personally I think Beau is a better name than any of the elongated versions

MiniLop · 26/02/2016 23:04

I went to school with a boy called Beauford, NN Beau.

SansaClegane · 26/02/2016 23:06

I know a little Bo, he's 4 years old now. His real name has nothing to do with his nickname... It's not an abbreviation or derivative or anything. So I'd say go for whichever 'long' name you like and just call him Bo Grin

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 28/02/2016 03:55

Boady Shock
Most of these full names are bloody awful - would you really name a child Beauregard?!

CrystalMcPistol · 28/02/2016 04:26

Beau isn't great but it's sure as hell better than any of the longer names on this thread!

randomsabreuse · 28/02/2016 05:37

Thibault

Wendied · 28/02/2016 06:15

I used to know a Boda,

mammmamia · 28/02/2016 23:25

Doesn't ulrika Jonson have a daughter called Bo? That's her actual name

MamaLazarou · 29/02/2016 08:29

What JosephBrodsky said. Maybe just choose another name, that you don't think he will hate?

EbonyDanny · 29/02/2016 08:58

My partner is known as Beau but his real name is Christopher Smile

TooAswellAlso · 29/02/2016 09:15

Friend of mine has a Beauden nn beau. Two other friends just have Beau.

Paulat2112 · 29/02/2016 09:18

My friend has a son called Benaiah and he gets called beau :)

CreamofTartar · 29/02/2016 09:21

Bo is an ordinary Swedish/Danish boy's name, and I also know a couple of Chinese Bos. I have to say I loathe Beau. Thibault is quite cool, though.

hellsbells99 · 29/02/2016 09:31

I'd go for Boris and Bo for short (or Boz if he choices to when he is older)
