I like the sound, it'd be a tribute to an Ann relative, and we have a slight French connection. However I may be swamped by hormones at this point (due any day). Thoughts?

I don't like it - it isn't my style Blush

Meeep · 19/02/2016 13:27

It's a nice name, I went to school with one!

kelda · 19/02/2016 13:28

Prefer other Anne variations, such as Anya.

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/02/2016 14:50

I really like it

manicinsomniac · 20/02/2016 00:30

I don't like it, sorry. Agree with pp that it sounds harsh.

I was going to say I really like Anoushka as an alternative but I didn't even realise Anouk was French - I thought it was East European Blush

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 20/02/2016 00:41

Anneka is nice too.

CatThiefKeith · 20/02/2016 00:55

It's a bit Lost Boys, yes I know it was Nanook. Buy it is still a dogs name....

Room101isWhereIUsedToLive · 20/02/2016 00:57

I think its lovely. Hope you call her that!

Out2pasture · 20/02/2016 01:02

Anouk is a Dutch name, becoming popular because of a French singer.
Annick is French.

sunwish · 20/02/2016 01:02

It's beautiful. I know an adorable little Anouk who sometimes goes by Nou Nou.

madwomanbackintheattic · 20/02/2016 01:06

I hadn't realised it was French. It sounds Inuit to me - I see inukshuks when I hear it - that's not a bad connotation. Grin

sallysparrow157 · 20/02/2016 01:14

I love it! A friend of a friend is anouska and is known as nu which I think is a cute nickname which works for a little anouk so counteracts the harshness people have mentioned.

CatThiefKeith · 20/02/2016 01:21

nou nou is slang for fanjo inEssex, just so you know.

Adarajames · 20/02/2016 02:40

I assumed Inuit too

Spandexpants007 · 20/02/2016 03:31
