Scottish boy's name, two syllables, easy to spell, can't be shortened?

You can shorten any two syllable name.

To one syllable.

DH is a Fraser - his name is never shortened.

Euan, Iain and Fraser don't have obvious abbreviations.

Euan, he most likely wouldn't get 'Eu'...

Fraser might become 'Fraz' though.

Perhaps, has never happened to him and doesn't get shortened here. Probably because people think his name is Frasier. That's a pain in the arse.
If it helps OP, DS1's name is Carter and nobody shortens it.
