I know someone with a Jean-Luc. I always thought it was because they were fans of pretentious arty French films (being a pretentious arty couple), but perhaps they are just secret Trekkies. I did actually get DS1s name from Star Trek! And then it became popular - everyone copied me!

DH has 2 children from of his first marriage, we had 4 and when I was pregnant with no.5 I wanted it to be triplet girls so I could name them Seven of Nine, Octavia and Nona. I really like Seven as a name! Alas, I had one boy! No Seven of Nine for me.

Kathryn was on my girls list because of Janeway.

In fact after ds1 I bought a Star Trek encyclopaedia so I could go through the names.

And none of my others have Star Trek names. I will rename them all forthwith.

DD1 is Deanna..named after the character but it was DH choice.She has actually met Marina Sirtis too

I actually like Dax and B'elanna. Jordie is an easy one for a boy, also Kes for a girl. Star trek name law would need to compiled by a trekkie though.
