Could it be hormones? Not sure, not feeling particularly hormonal, but never considered these names for previous dds... Please tell me what you think?

Flora

Violet

Clarice

Jane

Names I previously considered are much more mainstream:

Rose
Emma
Claire

I like Flora but prefer Violette to Violet. If you like flower names, what about Rose, Rosemary, Sorrel, Santolina, Sage, Tansy, Marigold, Acacia, Heather, Honeysuckle, Peony, Clover, Camellia, Delphine, Valerie, Angelica, Artemisia, Lilac, Lavender, Dahlia, Myrrh, Myrtle, Anise - or if you really want to go for it, Gardenia or Eglantine?

Maybe I'm getting a bit too floral? Sorry, just love gardening!

It's funny how different people perceive names, to me Jane is totally mainstream. Not particularly popular at the moment, but similar to Claire/Clare in vibe.

Clarice like Clarice Bean is OK, but with the long 'e' in the middle aka silence of the lambs not very attractive in my mind.

Juliet is lovely :)

Snowball sorry for not getting back- I love gardening and floral names and lots of your suggestions, unfortunately dh doesn't seem to seethe aappeal, Rose is ad as far as he would go.
I particularly like sage buti think he'd be like 'yeah right, why not oregano then'!!

Flora is a gorgeous name.

Out of your more "ordinary" names, I have a soft spot for 'Emma' and you hardly hear it these days so it actually doesn't seem so ordinary!

Only1scoop · 11/01/2016 22:47

Flora
Violet

Both gorgeous

Only1scoop · 11/01/2016 22:48

Don't like the others though

RickOShay · 12/01/2016 06:45

Love Emma and Rose. Really love Rose. Could she be Rose Juliet Emma?

timelytess · 12/01/2016 06:48

I wouldn't choose Clarice.

The rest are fine. I particularly like 'Emma Rose'. As a teenager, I thought if I ever had a daughter, I'd call her Emma Rose. I did have a daughter, and her name is nothing like that. But Emma Rose is still a nice name.

SquirrelledAway · 12/01/2016 10:47

Clarice makes me immediately think of Clarice Cliff, not Clarice Starling.

IoraRua · 12/01/2016 17:31

I love Jane. It's a very refreshing choice in a sea of cutesy -a, -ia and -y ending names (at my school anyway).

Sofiria · 13/01/2016 14:14

I like all of the names on your first list! I particularly like the combination Flora Jane.

DandyDan · 13/01/2016 15:02

Jane -

Definitely not mainstream. Refreshing and simple (and not plain at all).

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 13/01/2016 15:11

I love them all, except Clarice, sorry. And personally not a fan of Juliet, but like Julia.

Best wishes! Star

Flora is lovely.
Violet is not too bad, though I really dislike Vi as a nn.
Clarice is alright, but I think Clarissa is so much nicer.

Jane, Emma and Claire are a bit ordinary, and Rose is massively popular.

Flora Clarice would be a lovely name.
