What is your all time favourite girls name that you didn't use.

Genevieve (couldn't agree on pronunciation)
Emmeline (vetoed by DP)
Antigone (not brave enough)

NationMcKinley · 24/12/2015 23:31

Isis - so sad as it's such a beautiful name
Eva

Wishfulmakeupping · 24/12/2015 23:34

I did use my all time favourite but if I'd had another dd then I love Harriet and Edith also

UninventiveUsername · 24/12/2015 23:41

I knew an Isis when she was 1, she must be coming up for 2 now. I always wanted to ask the mum what she thought about the connection but was too scared to bring it up!

edengarden123 · 25/12/2015 18:18

AbbyCadabby · 25/12/2015 18:46

I did get to use my favourite girl's name, and we're not having a second dd, but names I would have used:
Calypso
Blythe
Seraphina
Dantea
Cadence
Artemis
Tatiana

FlyDragonfly1 · 25/12/2015 19:28

I used my favourite for DD, but I would have loved to have used Nora and Emmeline.

mrsschu · 25/12/2015 21:53

Amelie - really wanted it for DD but she just didn't look like an Amelie
Alannah - DC2 was a boy so didn't get to use this one either

leaningtoweroflego · 25/12/2015 22:07

Elise - DP vetoed it
Eilidh - spelling/pronounciation confusion outside of Scotland
Isabel - used as middle name instead
Esmé
Erin

alltouchedout · 25/12/2015 22:21

Sofia and Klara. I have 3 sons and the chances of a 4th dc are virtually nil.
Quite partial to Isobel and all variants of, Elinor, Hannah and Tamar, also.

MovingSouth · 25/12/2015 22:23

Francesca (DH didn't like it), Imogen (narrowly lost out to the name we chose), Cassia (DH didn't like it plus we googled 'cassia

Thundercrackers · 25/12/2015 22:24

Manon
Arietty
Indigo (not even a real name)
Vervet (again not even a real name)
Beatrice
Dagmar (amazing Norwegian name)
Charlotte

Sorry that's probably no help at all. Can you tell we struggled a bit?!

DeckTheWallsWithLotsOfMolly · 25/12/2015 22:56

Agatha
Marigold
Anahata
Jane

Lovelybitofsquirrel · 25/12/2015 23:05

Marnie, Esther, Edith

FanjoFandango · 26/12/2015 01:38

I loved (and still do), the name Caoimhe. My family are Irish so pronunciation over there wouldn't have been a problem. Over here it would be. I said we could spell it phonetically, but DH said no. When I pushed for it, he said he didn't like it anyway.

Strokethefurrywall · 26/12/2015 01:48

Dylan for DS1
Leah or Valentina for DS2

CherryPits · 26/12/2015 15:17

Jemima
Anna
Marie-Louise

LumelaMme · 26/12/2015 15:30

Thunder, Vervet is a kind of monkey... Possibly an ideal match for some DDs!

I liked Dorothy, but DH vetoed it even as a middle name.

ElfOnTheBoozeShelf · 26/12/2015 15:31

Isis / Iset. DH will never agree to them now Sad

ExBallerina · 26/12/2015 15:34

Chloe and Hunter

Themodernuriahheep · 26/12/2015 15:35

Louisa, Dorothea, Susanna, Juliana.

Had a boy.

ExBallerina · 26/12/2015 15:39
