Okay so after lots and lot's and lot's of No's Wildan is the name we have settled on for DS, I don't care how many people think it's more of a dog's name (which seems to be everyone's answer to a name they don't like on here) I'm sticking with it unless it's universally hated.

I just want to know what you honestly think of it and what's the first think you'd think if you heard this in the playground/park/street

In the Yorkshire accent of my grandparents 'Eee, that lad's a Wild 'un and no mistake.

StoptheRavelry · 15/12/2015 16:52

x posts...sorry but I do actually think it's, um, horrible. Just because people don't like saying that to a stranger who appears to have decided on a name, doesn't mean they aren't thinking it?

It's a bit much to say, right, no one was searingly rude, so that means you can all live with it! Great!

timelytess · 15/12/2015 16:52

I really do think the name is horrible.

LaPharisienne · 15/12/2015 17:00

I really like it. Unusual, so he'll get lots of "what?" or "William?" and maybe a few embarrassing first-day-at-school register calling things, but a small price to pay for an interesting name IMHO

Good on you! Why be boring!

beeKkay · 17/12/2015 18:55

i don't hate it but it does sound made up, like you are trying to combine William and Daniel.

interrobang · 18/12/2015 22:30

Well done, Wildan's mum! :) I really love different. Congratulations on your baby boy.
I also like Wilder.
