Sydney or Gracelyn?

So, DD is due very soon and we cannot decide between these! Her brother is Noah Smile

Sorry, I don't like either. Sydney sounds like a boy's name and Gracelyn sounds very American. What about Grace?

I think Sidney is more of the male version and I guess Gracelyn does sound American, but is that a bad thing? I do like Grace, but we are going for a 1 syllable middle name, so would be nice to have 2 syllables for FN Smile

I do like Gracie and would use that as a NN for Gracelyn - not sure if it's too nicknamey for a FN Hmm

I love Sydney and Syd is so cute for short. Was on our shortlist for DD. It probably won't be to everyone's taste but I think it's great, love it.

Sadie is okay, but there are a few names I would pick before that. Also, Sidonie is alright, but I feel like it sounds quite old-fashioned. Whereas Sydney has a really nice edge to it, IMO and it isn't massively common

Gracelyn is OK, though just Grace is better.
Sydney is an old man's name, at least that's the association I have. Sorry. Sadie much nicer.

not Gracelyn. It has an edge to it that I don't like, and there are gazilions of Graces around at the moment, so it will sound as if you wanted to go for Grace but were trying to be a bit different

Sydney is growing on me
