Ieuan

How would you say this. I think it's welsh.

I have heard yay-un and y-eye-un

I think the 'correct' version is y-eye-un, from dyddieu, for Thursday?

I have no idea but personally would guess Ewan.

Tiggeryoubastard · 17/11/2015 12:13

You an

ChessieFL · 17/11/2015 12:14

Yie-an.

ChessieFL · 17/11/2015 12:15

I think I'm agreeing with y-eye-an there!

MidnightVelvetthe4th · 17/11/2015 12:15

I would say You-an

He will have to go through life correcting people who call him Eye an/Iron though if you're not in Wales....

ChessieFL · 17/11/2015 12:17

Agree with Midnight, anyone non-Welsh always pronounces it wrongly.

BikeRunSki · 17/11/2015 12:18

Yey An

TheGreenNinja · 17/11/2015 12:21

I'd pronounce it Yie-an, as I think I've heard it pronounced that way before. No idea if it's right though.
Y-eye-an sounds like a Geordie Welshman to me!

PittacusLore · 17/11/2015 12:27

Ewan.

I'd assume I'd got it wrong as I'm not welsh, but that would be my best guess.

INeedACheeseSlicer · 17/11/2015 12:42

I know two, and they both pronounce it Y-eye'un to rhyme with Ryan.

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 17/11/2015 13:35

Yie-an was what I was aiming for, but couldn't spell it phonetically.

Thanks!
