Opinions on the name Joella?

NN would be Ella :)

Of polo mint earring fame.

Not a fan.

Sounds made up and hyphenated ....even though apparently it's not.

I went to school with a Joelle (Jo-Elle). Her family were from the carribean.

Ella is established enough as a standalone name so I'd just choose that.

How about Luella?

For some reason it reminds me of the Dolly Parton song "Jolene".

Hmm sounds a bit on the made up side. My friends DD is Joely which is lush.

Why not just have Ella by itself, that's a name.

DD1 is known as a shortened version of her name, no-one ever calls her by her 'long' name and she doesn't even realise it is her name! (She's 2.)

I think it's the opposite of trailer. I can see it as quite U.

I know a Joely. I think that's a gorgeous name. Not 100% on Joella though.

I too think it sounds very Nashville.

How about Joelle? Has a chic feel to it!
