What lovely names! Edward is my favourite but I'm biased too :) I also love Frederick (Freddie) :)

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 31/10/2015 18:16

Elizabeth and George. Very classy and Royal

Jenijena · 31/10/2015 18:22

I have a James William. And would have had a Thomas. James is popular but timeless, which I like. Also Jimmy Billy is a silly lovely pet name.

mathanxiety · 31/10/2015 21:01

I love Frederick. I think Freddie is incredibly cute for a little boy.

I honestly don't think you can go wring with any of them. All very nice.

Floggingmolly · 31/10/2015 21:01

James. Call him James!

tsumtsum · 31/10/2015 21:05

Edward or Frederick

SophieFaye · 01/11/2015 13:01

My favourites are Theodore and Edward, but I think Frederick goes the best with Elizabeth :)

Sophronia · 01/11/2015 22:02

James, Thomas, William or Frederick. Not so keen on Theodore. Great names overall though.

cece · 01/11/2015 22:10

Edward - it has lots of nn potential

reuset · 02/11/2015 03:06

Thomas, or Frederick. I've heard a million Edwards lately, and whilst popularity doesn't bother me a jot, I'm tired of hearing 'Eddie' being hollered.

SummerMonths · 02/11/2015 06:57

Great names. With an Elizabeth I would steer away from other current Royal names. I just think Elizabaeth and William or George sound too Windsor. Love Freddie and James.

YokoUhOh · 02/11/2015 07:09

Another suggestion - my DS (nearly 3) is Freddie but his full name is Alfred. What do you think of Alfred nn Fred?

Wishfulmakeupping · 02/11/2015 17:19

James,George or William nn Bill I love.

MrsMichelRouxJr · 02/11/2015 18:48

I love James, George and William.

Allalonenow · 02/11/2015 18:59

Frederick Theodore is a fab combination, and a good match with Elizabeth.
I wouldn't use George or William, especially not with Elizabeth.

Hopesicles · 02/11/2015 23:27

I like them all, but I think Frederick goes the best :) x

SniffsandSneezes · 02/11/2015 23:46

Here's something I don't think I've ever said on a MN baby names thread... I like them all!!

Since they're all classic and fairly popular I'd go for one that gives you more options for nicknames- so Edward could be Ed, Eddie, Teddy, Ted, Ned; Theodore could be Teddy, Ted, Theo; James could be Jamie or Jim. Etc etc. There's not a lot you can do with George, and there's an awful lot of Freddies about at the minute...

WomanScorned · 02/11/2015 23:53

Edward James.Ed/Eddie if it must be shortened.
I also love William - it's DS1's middle name. He dislikes his first name, so often uses William. His cousin is Billy.
I really like Elizabeth, too, and don't think the initial thing matters
Congratulations :)

Dear All, thank you so much for taking time to give your opinions, you've been very helpful! We have now narrowed it down to 2 names. So our final choices are:

Edward (and Elizabeth)

or

George (and Elizabeth)

Which one would you go for?

Thanks!!!

Either is fine.

Just don't call him Philip. Wink

celtictoast · 04/11/2015 15:09

George

Blondie87 · 04/11/2015 19:03

Edward- so gorgeous!

IoraRua · 04/11/2015 19:26

I vote for Edward, George and Elizabeth is just a bit too royal sounding.

Sophronia · 04/11/2015 19:32

Edward

BatmanLovesGhoulies · 04/11/2015 19:34

Edward
