Can't decide or agree on a name for our baby boy and he's now three weeks old

My husband likes the name "Patrick James Cook" - I don't dislike it but I'm concerned that it may get shortened to Pat or Paddy which I'm not a fan of! Plus we're not Irish. My Grandmother was called Patricia and I like the fact that it's utilizing her name as she was lovely and I was very close to her. That being said she was called Pat!

We also like the name George but concerned that he'll go to school with lots of Georges and if we were lucky enough to have another baby and it were to be a girl - I've alWAYS LOVED the name Georgina "Geogie" as a little girls name.

I'm now feeling quite stressed as we really can't decide on a name! Please help all inspiration and suggestions appreciated!

Unless you call your child something really unusual you'll meet seventy billion kids all called the same within 2 minutes. Or so it seems. It's a classic name, don't panic!

You can't go wrong with a classic name like George. Harry (or whatever it is at the moment) being the most popular name in the country doesn't put other people off calling their child that name. George isn't even top 3 is it?
It's like when you buy a new car, you suddenly start noticing that model a lot more than you used to.
You'll probably find he ends up in a school full of Archies in a few years.

George is a classic name, so not a problem. Archie is far more of fashionable name, so I shouldn't concern yourself that you didn't choose that. Congratulations btw!
