I'd go for Tobermory, Tomsk, Adelaide and Shansi and not even have to be pushed! Adelaide is a nice normal name anyway.

Orinoco could sound both posh and un-posh, but then so could any posher name.

Maybe it's Orinoco for the Estuary English speakers and Horinoco in the Home Counties

DS's nickname is Womble because he's at that toddler stage of wombling around helping himself to things and hiding them.

My great uncle actually was named Orinoco! He was from a Cornish mining family and had relatives who had gone to work in mines in Venezuela. He was named in honour of the family's mining history. He was Orin for short.

Most of those Womble names are interlopers from Stepney Common or somewhere that's not 1970's Wimbledon. Only the 70s Wombles were the true Wombles - you didn't see bloody Caingorm belting out Remember You're A Womble on TOTP, did you?
