I'm 40+4 and thought I had talked DH round to my favourite name but he's admitted he doesn't like it. His favourite is ok but I don't love it.

My favourite is Kit - either as it is or short for Christopher.

His favourite is Dylan.

My main problem with most boys names is that I find them too effeminate. I like determined sounding names e.g. Aaron would be a no-no.

Suggestions?

You find boys names to effeminate yet like Kit? Often a girls name.

Kit short for...
Chester?
Kitson?
Malachi? (It has the k sound, no?!)
Keith?!

Have you had a baby yet 33? Looking forward to hearing what you've chosen (I bet DH goes with Kit once he's seen you go through labour and childbirth again) Smile

No baby yet! Can't explain the effeminate thing really - maybe I mean names that don't sound solid and determined. Kit, to me, is both of those although I know it can be a girl's name too.

Kit sounds way more effeminate to me than Aaron. You're other dc names are fairly traditional so along those lines...

Nathaniel
Oliver
William
Henry

Or
