Stuck on baby boy name - please honest opinions

We are expecting our first baby (boy) but are really stuck on a name. The ones we were able to kind of agree on are:
Robin (DH loves it, I like it one day and really not sure the next, worried it's too girly and he will be made fun of. Otherwise like the name and the way it sounds and was thinking maybe with a strong middle name we could get away with it, e.g. Robin Joseph, Robin Elias or Robin Edward..?)
Liam (we are both "ok" with it but not sure any of us love it)
Ryan (I like it but DH doesn't)

Other names that were on my list included Thomas, Aiden, Evan, Ronan, Vincent, Torin but they were all vetoed by DH.
DH's other suggestions include Carter and Lewis..
We were thinking of Robert instead of Robin but I think it's too ordinary and not interesting.

So please any opinions on the names above, particularly on Robin..?
Also any other suggestions are welcome, our family is half international/European roots and family name starts with A.
Thank you!!

Robin sounds quite feminine to my ears but really like Robert. Lovely nickname possibilities too. Robbie, Rob, Bertie, Bert.

Robin is a great name. I really don't think that it would strike most UK people as unisex.

I don't know any English female Robyns (tho' aware that in America it might have these associations).

I love the name- far more than your other choices. Go for it!

Love Robin.

Not keen on Robin, sorry. Sounds a bit weak.
Arthur. Art.
Jared. Jed.
William. Liam. Even though you've rejected it upthread.

I think Robin and Robert are both excellent names and find your suggestion of Robin Elias particularly dashing. Good luck!

Robin is one of my favourite boys names.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Batman! Batman and Robin would have been the main association with the name when I was at school and the kid would probably have been teased with endless repetition of the theme tune etc and found it quite annoying. Not sure if it is still the same but something to consider. Kids will always find something to pick on though.

Hello!

I have been researching baby names for my baby due in September and I thought I would add my opinions because Robin is my name. I am a 36 year old male. I have always loved my name. It's uncommon but not weird and I get called Rob by my friends (my mum calls me Robbie but no-one else does). I have only met two other people with my name - one male about the same age as me and an American woman who spelt her name Robbyn. In the UK it has always been a predominantly male name and when I was young no-one ever mentioned it being a girl's name because it wasn't seen that way. The only thing to consider is that Robin/Robyn as a girls name has recently entered the UK top 100 popular names (quite low down the list) so it might be changing into more of a girl's name in this country.

People DID mention Robin and Batman when I was younger but not much and it never bothered me. I also got called Robin Reliant occasionally too, but I don't think kids these days would know what that is! Robin red breast did annoy me a tad!

Sill, I wouldn't change my name for anything.

Thank you all for your input, I'm now much happier to agree on Robin as most of the opinions on here have been positive.
Taucher1979, thank you for joining in, great to hear from a man that he loves this name and wouldn't change it. I know it's becoming more popular as a girl's name, but then again I feel like the girls are being called a boy's name and not the other way around, if you know what I mean.
Topaz25, I thought about the Batman association but I think Robin was a character quite a few years ago and now it's mostly Batman on his own :D so hopefully kids won't remember much of this and even if they did, I don't think the association is negative or anything. In the end of the day, he is kind of a superhero :)
