Dd will be a week old tomorrow, and is still nameless! Our two top contenders are Sophie and Willow. Other names we like, but can't use are Esme, Seren and Erin.

Help, Mumsnet?! She needs a name!! Grin

Sophie

HettyB · 16/07/2015 16:20

I'm going to say Erin, as It sounds different to Maisie.

How bizarre - my first thought from the thread title without clicking onto the actual post was Sophie.

Aggypaggy · 17/07/2015 18:52

I thought of Sophie before clicking on the thread OP. I think it is a lovely name and goes well with your other DCs. Congratulations on your new DD btw Flowers

Choose Sophie!

IBlameThePenguins · 17/07/2015 20:56

Thank You! Sophie is my top choice, but every time I tell DH that he pulls a "meh" face... but won't commit to anything else either Angry Maybe I'll just sneak off and register her when he's not looking!

Sadie or Jean

chocfireguard · 17/07/2015 21:35

Personally, I think you need look no further than Rose.

But have you considered Sophia?

IBlameThePenguins · 17/07/2015 22:16

Rose is Dd1's middle name :) I like Sophia, but DH prefers Sophie (even though he's being bloody indecisive!)

Gwen

I realise it is neither Sophie or Erin. Grin

Sophronia · 17/07/2015 23:49

Sophie

FabulousFudge · 18/07/2015 00:00

I also thought Sophie before opening thread.

Fridgedooropen · 18/07/2015 00:09

Sophie is mega popular though and I have a thing about avoiding kids having the same initial so that'd put me off Erin #unhelpful though otherwise I think it's lovely. Hannah? Rebecca? Serena?

kissmaass · 19/07/2015 19:38

I thought of Gwen too, as soon as I opened this thread!

grabaspoon · 19/07/2015 19:39

Pru

Unoriginalusername123 · 19/07/2015 19:49

Sophie and Erin are both lovely.

With a sister named Maisie I'd avoid another ie/y name so Erin it would be. But Sophie is still a great name.

Please let us know what you choose!

daisydalrymple · 19/07/2015 19:58

I love Sophie but I offer you Nancy as heard it today and realised I hadn't heard one since reading Nancy Drew as s child Smile

Cloggal · 19/07/2015 20:56

Oooh I like Nancy!

daisydalrymple · 19/07/2015 22:26

Oh wait a minute doesn't the PM have a Nancy...

mathanxiety · 19/07/2015 23:07

I like Sophie with the other names.

How about
Sylvie
Zoe
Daphne
Phoebe
Leela
Cecily
Tess(a)
Tamsin
India

mathanxiety · 19/07/2015 23:08

Love Nancy too.

junemami · 20/07/2015 07:25

Sara, betsan, mari, Catrin/a, Lisa, Cecily, Sylvie, iris, Gwen, Tara, Esther, cora. Personally I would avoid an ie ending and having the same initial as other dc. Good luck!

Skiingmaniac · 20/07/2015 07:25

Hebe

I like a lot of those names suggested. DH has got a thing about "posh" names... and a few of those fall into that category for him. I really like the Welsh names, being Welsh myself. DH and I are talking ourselves in circles now!! I will definitely let you know when (if) we decide!!

Curious now. It sounds like you want to call her Sophie. Just start calling her that and hopefully everyone else will join in!
