Namechanged to check my top boys choice.
I love Henry but our surname is
H* owden.
I think it's a good strong name Dh worried it sounds too much.
Honest thoughts please.

If you live in an area where people habitually drop their aitches I wouldn't.

'enry 'owden.

I'm not keen on alliteration as a general rule but actually I agree with you that name sounds really good!

Alliterative names are fine.

I have a girl with an alliterative name, and another who has chosen a nickname which makes her name alliterative.

I think calling your son Howard might be a bit much, perhaps. Wink

Yes sanity Howard would be too much also like Heidi but altogether sounds like hi-de-hi :)

I love them and if I had a better surname, absolutely would.

Testingthename · 20/06/2015 09:07

I think sometimes they can sound cartoonish but I'm hoping my choice doesn't

I love them. I had one until I got married and I miss my alliterative name now! For me, they sound strong and complete...if that makes sense?! I'd do it.

My girl has an alliterative name. Everyone always gives us compliments Smile

SueGeneris · 20/06/2015 09:12

I like it. I know a boy who has an H H name and I think it sounds strong.

Testingthename · 20/06/2015 09:58

I just need Dh to agree now I think it's fab

I like alliterative names - they just have something about them that makes them memorable and interesting.
