Struggling with boys names here. DH keen on Alasdair but is it a bit old fashioned rather than classic?

We are in Scotland if that helps!

I've only ever met one, he was a prize pillock

Love it.

It's DS2s middle name but with a "t" DH says its really wet spelled with a "d" :o

I've also seen Alister which I quite like for it's simplicity.

I've got one - spelt Alasdair, he's 4. We mainly call him Ali or Al, but he tells me that he loves his "big name".
We are Scottish but not posh, the other names on my shortlist for him were Innes,Murdo and Angus (not a national stereotype at all, me)

I love it. We are having a dd, but if we'd had a boy it would have been Alistair (we're in England so would spell/ pronounce it subtly differently).

Polarbearcub · 19/06/2015 13:12

Lovely name- and prefer the 'd' spelling too
