Hello mumsnetters, so Dh and I now have a list of potential boys and girls names for dc2. We like them all but just can't decide on our favourites.

I'd love your input! If you could list your favourite girl and boy name from our lists (or top three if you like)? Or any of your own suggestions. DC2 due in a week and we're getting desperate! Thank you!

Thank you all so much. Keep the votes coming, it's been really helpful. Think we might discount Alfie on the basis of it being rather popular and it may become dated, as you say. DC1 is Naomi Rose, if that helps...

My shortlist for the boys would be:
Alexander James
Henry Peter
Alistair James

Definite favourite for the girls is Imogen Kate. Eloise goes well with Naomi too, but don't like it with Isabelle (too many vowel sounds I think). (Naomi Rose is lovely by the way).

Sebastian/Alexander/Alistair are all nice for a boy.

Beatrice Sophia for a girl. It's much nicer than any of the others.

Joseph Alexander would be my favourite combination for boys and Meredith Eloise or Elizabeth Sophia for girls
