Most unusual sibsets

A lot of posters start threads asking for names that match their current child/children's names.

What is the most unusual or different names styles that you have seen for siblings?

The ones that stick out (celebrities sorry) are Kourtney Kardashian with Mason, Penelope and Reign. Also Sarah Michelle Geller with Charlotte and Rocky.

There were two sisters a few years above me in school - Noreen and Doreen.

BikeRunSki · 29/05/2015 20:53

My sibs and I go A to Z. After 4 children the Z was deliberate! The Z really does not go "stylistically" with the other names, but hey, it's us.

I know a family where every single boy is called Charles. Then there is a complicated system about who uses Charles, who uses Charlie, who uses Chas, who uses their middle name... And it is a close family with several branches in the same town. There are 2 cousins born on the same day too - the doctor and dentist get very confused!

I also know a brother and sister called Alistair and Alison. Hmm

There is a set of boy/girl twins at my dc's school called Evan and Elle. Confused

Monica101 · 29/05/2015 20:58

There was a funny one posted on mumsnet a while ago.

Matthew, Mark, Luke and Angus!

lulu12345 · 29/05/2015 21:00

Actually lol-ed at Faith, Hope & Simon Grin

MamaLazarou · 29/05/2015 21:02

Evan and Elle!!! Grin

I have heard so many versions of the Matthew, Mark, Luke and Jayden thing now that I'm starting to doubt its veracity.

SlinkyB · 29/05/2015 21:10

Girl/boy siblings called Isis and Wolf.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 29/05/2015 21:11

Michelle, Rachael and Cheryl.

Anne, Andrew and Joanne.

Lucian, Tristan, Crispin and Simon.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 29/05/2015 21:13

Oops, not Tristan, Julian.

DH's cousin called her girls Poppy, Lily and Rose. And then named the dog Daisy. We don't see them often and I can never remember which 'flower' name is the dog's and which are the girls' names.

AhoyMcCoy · 29/05/2015 21:22

I know of a family with two little boys called Harry and Jack. So far so normal. Then they had a little girl and named her...... Halo-Belle. Confused

SocksRock · 29/05/2015 21:35

Not a sibset, but I know a woman who had a dog called Daisy. She then had a baby girl and called the baby Daisy as well...

ClashCityRocker · 29/05/2015 21:37

My friend had her first child at sixteen - she named her Destiny (but at least she spelt it right!) Nineteen years on, she also has a little James and Sarah. She obviously calmed down a lot in the intervening years.

'Dessy' is a lovely young lady though.

Also know a Patrick and Luciano half brothers.

Knew a Michelle and Michael too.

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 29/05/2015 21:51

I knew a Sharon and Karen back in the 70's

MehsMum · 29/05/2015 21:53

I knew sisters called Helena and Janice.

TheDeafeningClatterofDuplo · 29/05/2015 21:54

Kid you not, I worked for a while with a Persephone, whose sister was... Sharon.

GemmaTeller · 29/05/2015 22:01

Aurora and Azalia

I kid you not - I heard it in the post office the other week and could not get home quick enough to tell DH Grin I'm sad like that

manicinsomniac · 29/05/2015 23:00

William and Ocean
Orlando, Cosmo and Luke
Indianna, Summer and Ptolemy
Rachel and Feyikemi
Kristie, Keltie, Keisha and Kiki

I also know a family with Anna, Eva, Isla and Oscar who didn't realise what they'd done until people started asking when Una would be along!

My own kids are pretty mismatched due to me being a 19 year old student the first time and a 31 year old independent school teacher the last time - I have Savannah, Jessica and Xanthe.

I don't think mismatches are a problem really. I actually like every single one of the examples I've listed and the children aren't going to be tied to their siblings forever.

Mamiof3 · 29/05/2015 23:20

Yes Chloe and Tyler, very normal 2000's names, then mum (colleague of mine) had a set of twins earlier this year, 6 year gap between them and last child, have moved home to a typically 'naice mumsnet' area (if you know what I mean!) and called them Walter Hugo and Sylvia Agnes. Nice names but they families whole outlook has seemingly changed!

FrogletinaBallerina · 29/05/2015 23:35

I know an Oliver with a baby sister called Olivia...Confused
