Ok, so DC2 is another boy- absolutely thrilled but stumped on names! Best unusual/hippy type names please!

For my DS we really struggled with names and ended up picking a very unusual 'surname' name that is closely associated with my DPs family. I really love it and am very happy we chose it.

I found out today that we are having another boy and we are really pleased...apart from the fact I don't like any of the other names we had on our list for DS1 anymore.

I'm quite hippyish and love unusual/nature type names - luckily DS1's name kind of plays to this.

Would love some inspiration!

Thanks!

This is not exactly hippy but it is unusual and would be my next DS's name if I ever convince DH to have dc3 and its a boy . . . Nye (as in bevan, founder of the NHS)

WankerDeAsalWipe · 22/05/2015 23:10

Nye was Aneurin which is great too, though Keir would be my pick of the two.

Fadingmemory · 22/05/2015 23:18

Lucian, Thor, Jupiter, Nevis, Merlin

Orion

Wolf, could be Wolfgang

Kes, could be Kestrel

Acer

Eden

I have a Robin (dd).

What about Mallory? George Mallory climbed (or possibly didn't) Everest in the 20s. Surname and nature combined?

Otherwise, how about Grayling (moth/fish), nn Gray?

Anjou · 22/05/2015 23:35

I agree Stellan is a great name ... I have one. Smile

If you like killian but don't like the 'kill' part does the spelling Cillian (that's the only spelling I've seen before) seem better? Or how about Kiril, with Kir as a nn?

Other suggestions:

Atticus
Beck (cool musician and it means 'stream' so you've got a nature connection!)
