Not great if in Scotland.

sunflower49 · 22/05/2015 03:45

Love it. Very good with Sonny.

wesH · 22/05/2015 11:56

Jesse is definitely better than Jed, Ralph or Hudson

I'm from the south and I still thought of a Jesse as a 'Big girl's blouse'. Has it been used in a television programme?

hawkmcqueen · 22/05/2015 12:17

Love Star

YouMakeMyHeartSmile · 22/05/2015 12:19

I quite like it but you'll have a lot of people here saying 'big girls blouse'. I think it would depend on the area, it is not used as an expression where I am although I have heard it. It goes well with sonny.

starfish12 · 22/05/2015 18:22

It makes me think big girls blouse but i don't feel that strongly about it so might just go with it as i do love it.
It's more about his generation anyway and I'm not sure that outside Scotland his peers would use that phrase/association? We are in the South East...
Oh well its probably going to be a girl now anyway Grin

I like Jesse, but prefer Jed (mine is 13!!). Sonny and Jed sounds so great.

MrsMichelRouxJr · 14/06/2015 22:24

I love it!!

JessiePinkman · 14/06/2015 22:25

Love it

Love, I have a cool cousin called Jesse who lives in Las Vegas.

Jacksonyellow · 14/06/2015 22:29

I know two born in the last few months so I think it might be getting quite popular. I think it's ok, don't love it though because I do think of "you big Jesse".

MitsoTsukahara · 14/06/2015 22:29

My ds is a Jesse and he's ace. People will insist on calling him 'Jess' which he doesn't really like but doesn't make a big deal of. He was named after his great grandad and it means 'gift from god' (which he was). He's at uni in Scotland and no one would ever think of him as a 'big girl's blouse', ever!

Only1scoop · 14/06/2015 22:31

I don't like it at all.

PallasCat · 15/06/2015 19:44

Fabulous. If it's of interest I've also known 2 boys called Jess, not short for anything.
