Keir's brother is called...?

Found out today I am having a little boy! Dc2

Ds1 is called Keir. This was our ace name - not sure how we are gonna equal/top it?!

Any ideas?

Needs to sound cool, a bit interesting (not interested in mar and kings or saints) but also it needs to be a proper name and to have a bit of gravitas when the baby grows up into an adult...

Help!

How about Bevan?

That sounds great as a first name and follows the last name tradition the same as Keir.

or Ramsay after Ramsay MacDonald?

I agree with posters who say go with Labour names!

I love Ramsay, but the Labour governments of 1945-51 give you

Aneurin (already mentioned)
Clement (ditto)
Herbert (maybe not - besides he's Mandelson's grandfather...)
Hugh (Dalton, but also for Gaitskell? I know he was a moderniser but he was amazing - his demolition of Eden over Suez was masterful)
Stafford
Ernest
Tom
George
Emanuel
Harold

There's Tony of course. (Benn rather than t'other one)

Feargus? (After Chartist leader Feargus O'Connor)

What about Tadhg, like Una Fodens new baby? It's irish, pronounced like the Tig bit of the word tiger. I think it goes nicely with Keir.

JassyRadlett · 15/03/2015 14:49

I think you mean New Zealander there, squoosh. Unless you're pronouncing Innes oddly!

JassyRadlett · 15/03/2015 14:50

BTW I really like Fraser, OP. I know one baby Robbie - was a surprise but it works!

heylilbunny · 15/03/2015 20:48

Fraser reminds me of Jamie Fraser in Outlander and the actor who plays him in the TV series Sam Heughan .. so just because ..
