Honour - Opinions plz

I liked the name Honour for DD1 (now 39 wks with DC3) I went off it when having DD2 but have come back to it lately.

Is it classic & beautiful or silly/awful?

My two DD's names are both classic/olden names, would it go?

I like it but isn't it usually Honor as a name?

It's totally awesome, but I should warn you that it's also the name of a female starship admiral in a popular series of science fiction books.

I love Honor, spelt this way though. Its on our list for potential dd2.

Love it, but only spelt Honor. One of my very favourite girls' names. Think it strikes a good balance between being classic and unusual.

My dd's name so I love it. As a name though the spelling is Honor :)

I assumed Honor was the American spelling and that it would be spelled like the word (English spelling)?
Ideally I want a name to be 6 letters as both my daughters names have 6 letters

It's really lovely. But as a name it's always spelt Honor, even in the UK.

I promise it's not! If you spell it honour she will spend her whole life with people going and having to say "no, there's a u in it..."

Although weirdly, the only Honour I have ever known did spell it like the word 'Honour' and I've never thought of it before until I read this thread.

I know someone who thought Anna in frozens name was honor because of the way they say it.

Not keen on Honora, unfortunately. Usually I hate names spelled wrong but Honor just looks American & mis-spelt to me, perhaps it's not going to be a contender for that reason.
Shame, cuz I really like it.

I don't think if it was spelt Honour she would end up spelling it all the time because it's an unusual name that I think people won't nesessarily have come across before, certainly where I live and I think people would assume it's spelt like the work, I may be wrong but just my opinion.
