Would you call your baby boy Falconer?

This was my Farhers name (he passed in 2010). Usually a surname I know and I've never met any other Falconer's. Really interested on thoughts. His middle name would be James - Falconer James :)

Benjamin James
Hugo James (DH not too keen!!)

My son's middle name is Falcon. I wish I'd had the guys to make it hi first name. I think it's super cool without being made up and with the family link it's made all the more special. I say go for it and as many bothers say, names and tastes are so personal. If you love it, go for it.

I actually think it's a great name, with your personal connection to it.

I think it is quite nice actually - especially as he would be named for your father. Thing you need to consider is that he is unlikely to be called Falconer on a day to day basis, so what are the nicknames/ short names and do you like them.

As for James - It is a nice steady name but nowhere near as memorable as Falconer.

I think it's great to continue a family tradition, go for it!

No , I wouldn't because I wouldn't be brave enough. But if I saw a Falconer on my son's class list I'd think Wow, what an amazing name! It would be brilliant as either a first or middle name.
