Iliana illiana or ileana?

It's not the only name on our list but I wonder how you would spell it?

They all look ok to me! Nice name but with all them vowel sounds I would always ask how it's spelt and if I chose it i would prepare for it to be spelt incorrectly often.

Ileana wouldn't be pronounced the same I don't think because of the e. I prefer Iliana/Ilyana

Iliana or Ilyana, although I think I prefer the Iliana.
Or you could have Elliana instead.

Illiana - no because it has "ill" at the beginning
Ileana - too confusing for pronunciation purposes - why make it harder than it needs to be?

My daughter is friends with an Eliana. Didn't even realise that may not be how it was supposed to be spelt!

Dd also has an Eliana friend. Pronounced "illiana". Personally I think all the iiii and llll will be a tricky thing to spell. I had a friend with a surname like that and it was a nightmare!

Friend has a DD Iliana. Kind of hard to look at in some fonts!

Where does the name Eliana cone from? The Illi sound is unusual.

It's supposedly Greek (meaning from Ilium or Troy) but now is more commonly known as the female version of Illiya (and the various regional spellings of that).

Dd1 has a long 3 syllable name that's both pretty and unusual. We're looking for something like that. I knew an Iliana at school though don't know how she spelled it and I always liked the sound!
