Shameless TAAT (sorry...!) but inspired by the girl thread I thought I'd ask about boys.

So... If you had a DS tomorrow... What would you call him?

Theodore or Henry.

Caelan pronounced Keelin or Kaylin same answer I gave in the girl thread. It is a male/female name although it is spelt completely differently for the make/female version and I would have used it for either if DH had not used his veto.

I don't know what I would call him but I would be very surprised Grin and probably presume I was the mother of the new messiah

Ezekiel... or if DH vetoed it (which I don't think he would because he had (reluctantly) agreed on it before), then... Elias.

4 kids already, but only 1 boy and we have always found boys names so much easier - typical! Definitely don't want any more, but still a little bit of me is sad I will never get my Ezekiel or Elias.

Hard as I have three boys already.

Jude possibly, or Jonah or maybe Robin. If DH had no say whatsoever Leroy or Digby.

Angus. Gus for short.

Alexander I think, except DP doesn't like it. I think we went through the top 1000 names or something like that and DS's name is the only one we agreed on so we'd be in trouble if we had another boy.

Inkspellme · 27/01/2015 23:44

good grief...mumnet seems to have chewed my post. it's Oisin.

marshmallowpies · 27/01/2015 23:45

If it wasn't for the fact it doesn't go with our surname, Edmund, nn Ned.

As that doesn't work, though, I'd be tempted by Douglas or Alexander or Duncan. I've always had a very clear idea of what girls names I like, boys names are so much harder! Good job I'm only having DDs it seems...

Zebda · 27/01/2015 23:46

I love Rory, but it was not possible for DS as DH is French and Rory is unpronounceable in French
