Sebastian, Joshua, Thomas and... (probably a boy)

All DSs have two middle names and by the time DS3 came along I had exhausted my ideas and used all the names I liked.

Almost certainly not a girl but have no real ideas there either.

Can't use Zachary, Matthew, James, Ian, David, Cameron, Isaac or Felix.

Would prefer not to repeat a first letter (so no J T or S names).

Surname begins with E, three-syllable, not unusual.

Please help!

I quite like Nathaniel but DH hates it.

Didn't read all of your thread before I was going to suggest Nathan

BettyRooster · 24/01/2015 19:27

Max

dragdownthemoon · 24/01/2015 19:30

Edward?

judypoops · 24/01/2015 19:33

Caleb

EbonyIck · 24/01/2015 19:34

Edward doesn't sound right with our surname (think Edward Edwardson). Max is a nice name but I'm not sure I like it for us iyswim - would have to be a longer version too (Maxwell? Maximilian??) like the others.

I like Maia and Zoe for a girl BTW.

William

Benjamin, Samuel, William, Daniel?

TellmetogetonwithmyWork · 24/01/2015 19:45

Caspar
Rufus
Barnaby
Lucas
Marcus
Leo

ChippyMinton · 24/01/2015 19:46

Oliver
Dominic
Nicholas
Christopher

EbonyIck · 24/01/2015 19:55

Ooo I like Leo - it would feel weird to have a short name but I wouldn't go Leonardo!

Some really lovely ideas. I think of Dominic and William etc as being posh names which is a bit rich coming from someone with a Sebastian I suppose!

DH is Alexander, I do like the name but think it's out for that reason - might be a good middle though?

Robert for sebastion or Joshua, Andrew for thomas

EbonyIck · 24/01/2015 19:56

I like Luka (ER fan Blush ) but DH says it doesn't go and he's right isn't he Sad

I prefer Luca spelling. Yes it does go fine. In any case this child will be an individual not just one of 4

Lindy2 · 24/01/2015 20:01

Ryan, Callum, Daniel, Elliot, Gregory. Just some names I like.

Thatsnotmypiglet · 24/01/2015 20:01

Austin? Lachlan?

HollyAndIvyTime · 24/01/2015 20:11

We have a Joshua and a Luke, I think they are lovely together.

How about:

Reuben
Samuel
Daniel
James
Joseph
Oliver
Oscar

Actually I think I would pick Oliver with what you already have, it would go beautifully.

EbonyIck · 24/01/2015 20:15

Ooo I like Oliver!

The DCs have names that were important to us but we've used them up now, feels weird to just choose based on what I like!

Elijah?

Four4me · 24/01/2015 20:21

Reuben Smile

WineSpider · 24/01/2015 20:21

Do or will your DC have shortened versions of their names? Even if not now, they might do as teens or adults - so if they're Seb, Josh and Tom it might be good to have a name that can also shorten to a one syllable nickname in a similar way?

thingamajig · 24/01/2015 20:22

Henry
William
George
Dominic

FishWithABicycle · 24/01/2015 20:24

The name that popped into my head reading the thread title was: Michael.

EbonyIck · 24/01/2015 20:26

Joshua is Josh. Others prefer their full names so far (well, Sebastian is Sebby sometimes at home).

I do like names that can be shortened ie Nathaniel could be Nathan or Nate. DH has gone by Alex and Zander and various times of his life and enjoys the flexibility.

I like Michael but not Mike - I know it's not my decision what the DCs decide to go by but I'd like to like the short version too.

I've always liked Theodore/Theo but don't want to repeat a T.

Oliver could be Olly which I like but I don't like Ol. The one-syllable thing is a good point.
