A sibling for Edith

We have an Edith (nearly 2yo), and I am now pregnant again. Both DH and I like old-fashioned names; he prefers the more traditional side (Like Peter, Rose, Ernest, Lillian) and I like the more 'boring', less liked sort of names (like Geoffrey, Clive, Maud, Myrtle).

What other names might we both like? We're not finding out the sex of the baby so we need to think of both girls' and boys' names.

Some fantastic names here, thank you all. I particulary love Olive (but don't think we could use as I already have a family member called this) Bernard, and Audrey.

I also love Duncan. And Kevin. Kevin needs to make a comeback.

Agnes and Margot, obviously!

Iggly · 18/01/2015 20:11

Olive is a lovely name - almost used it for dd.

The name we used for dd was a cousin's name so don't let that put you off.....!

TheyLearnedFromBrian · 18/01/2015 20:12

Camber for a boy, Beattie for a girl

DorothyBastard · 18/01/2015 20:14

Joy is lovely. I find girls names much easier than boys, that's where we're both struggling.

Ooooh I love the name Edith Grin

Some other names I like which I think go with Edith (First World War type names)

Boys:
George, Arthur, Albert, Frederick, Wilfred, Stanley, Sidney, Edwin, Edward, Eric

Girls:
Mabel, Florence, Agnes, Cecilia, Constance, Elsie, Maud, Agatha, Harriet

The only Edith I know has no sisters but her brothers' names are in that list Smile
