I will be having our baby girl in 5 weeks and we'd decided on her name, Emilie-Rose

However... I personally like Emilie-Paige better, but can't seem to win hubby round on that one Sad

So, I need ideas as to what would go with Emilie as a hyphenated name...? Smile

Emilie-Rose wins there for me, not a fan of Paige at all I'm afraid. How about Grace? Emilie is lovely on its own though I think.

Threeplus1 · 07/01/2015 22:54

Emilie-rose here too. I don't like Paige either. How about emilie-Eve or Emilie-May?

CaptainAnkles · 07/01/2015 22:56

I don't think hyphenated names but Emilie is lovely Smile Rose does go with it better than Paige tbh

Deerhound · 07/01/2015 23:00

I'd go for Emilie Rose (no hyphen). It's lovely.

BlueStarsAtNight · 07/01/2015 23:10

I don't like hyphenated names but of the two Emily-Rose goes best. Not a fan of the Emilie spelling.

I'd go with Emily Rose as 1st and middle names if it were me.

emeline · 07/01/2015 23:17

I don't like hyphenated names.

Emilie is fine as it stands.

Emilie Rose is classic.

Paige...no.

ProcrastIWillFinishThisLater · 07/01/2015 23:23

Emily Rose is nice. I like Emily Jane too.

burgatroyd · 08/01/2015 07:56

Hyphens are irritating! There are so many hyphen rose names too. Emily Jane is a great suggestionas she can be called EJ too!

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 08/01/2015 08:13

Please drop the hyphen. Emilie is already a bit too cutesy but adding a hyphen is just too much. Children don't need two first names, it's really unnecessary and looks like you are naming a kitten rather than an adult woman.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 08/01/2015 08:14

I meant to say Emily is much nicer than emilie also Rose is so over used as a Middle name.

Sophronia · 08/01/2015 10:28

I don't like the hyphen, I like Emily Rose.

ScouseBird8364 · 08/01/2015 10:40

Can't really drop the hyphen, as my boys are Joseph-Alex and Mason-Riley, so need to continue the theme, so to speak! Wink

Kay
Faye
Rose
Kate

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 08/01/2015 12:34

Really?
You could break the tradition, I'm sure she won't mind.

SavoyCabbage · 08/01/2015 12:40

I know an Emilie and she is French.
Emilie-Paris
Emilie-Colette
Emilie-Christelle

CaptainAnkles · 08/01/2015 12:59

Do you actually always call them by both parts of their hyphenated names?

HotLipsHoulihan · 08/01/2015 13:13

Oh give over you lot ... My DD is 16 and has a hyphenated first name. It's very unusual as well, to boot. She loves it and she is called the first part of it generally but uses all of it for social media / nickname purposes.

Honestly, it's no biggie! My DS just has the one name. The OP can do what she likes without all the thinly disguised snobby comments.

I like the name Emilie but I prefer the Emily spelling. Emily Charlotte is nice

squoosh · 08/01/2015 13:15

Hyphens always make me think that parents couldn't reach a compromise so went with a favourite from each.

I prefer Emilie Rose to Emilie Paige.

MildDrPepperAddiction · 08/01/2015 13:21

Hyphenated names are awful. Please just call her one or the other. She will thank you for it when she's older.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 08/01/2015 13:22

Emilie Nicole.

Emilie Simone.

Emilie Therese.

Emilie Arlette.

Emilie Felice or Felicia.

Emilie Fleur.

Emilie Lucette.

squoosh · 08/01/2015 13:23

Although there is a film called the Exorcism Of Emily Rose so maybe not!

Gileswithachainsaw · 08/01/2015 13:25

Was about to say it's a film too.

Although that wouldn't bother me I have demon children

what's wrong with Emily. The other way makes your eyes go funny looking at it.

Thumbwitch · 08/01/2015 13:31

Emilie-Rose is better than Emilie-Paige.

Others I like:
Emilie-Claire
Emilie-Anne
Emilie-Mae
Emilie-Faith
Emilie-Grace

GlitzAndGigglesx · 08/01/2015 13:32

I dislike hyphenated names too and think Emilie is lovely on its own. I know an Emily-Rose but very few people address her as the full name

CarriMarie · 08/01/2015 20:57

I know an Emily-Beth, so Emilie-Beth would work.
