Reinford...?

I would like to preface this by saying I am not expecting, so if you hate the name don't panic! No child is likely to be saddled with it any time soon . I saw this name whilst looking through my family tree and I am thinking of tucking it away for future DCs but I want opinions first. It is the first not so popular name that I sort of like .

I have been reading the baby names threads out of boredom today and clearly as they got wilder so did my own tastes. I will follow Chipping and Soupdragon's advice. I am ashamed as I don't even have pregnancy hormones to blame my choice on.

It would be OK as a middle name, but I'd go for the spelling Rainford which is a surname.

Reinford is a bit reindeer-ish.

as a first name, no. Definitely sounds more like a run down town than a child's name.

Well it's an interesting name which has been in your family, but I would study the meaning, because people will ask you.
It is quite a nice name, certainly different. Is it for a boybor girl.
I wouldn't really worry about teasing potentials. I've never known anyone to be teased for their name. I mean there are of course exceptions I mean you wouldn't name a boy Sophie for example

It sounds like a town in Essex. Obviously there is nothing intrinsically wrong with that but I wouldn't call a child Harlow either.

I quite like it, sound ass though he's some brooding character from a Victorian novel. Although not sure it works for a baby!
