That's the current shortlist. Last name is single syllable. DS1 has a french first name and scottish middle name. Trying for something non-standard but classic, not too heavy weight, too posh or too earthy iyswim

What's the verdict?

I love Henry Gilbert and Gilbert Henry. Sounds strong and interesting

Gilbert is fine and quite unusual. Bertie is a sweet abbreviation.
Louis is a nice nod to your other DS's French name.
Henry and Stanley both v popular in my area/experience.
Hugo is posh, if that is what you are trying to avoid.
