it is truly dreadful - has hubby not read the book?
Good name for a horse though.

BlueGreenHazelGreen · 08/12/2014 11:31

Sorry, I too would assume that anyone who would name their child Gatsby either hadn't read or hadn't understood the book.

supersupersupershock · 08/12/2014 11:34

awful

Macloveswill · 08/12/2014 11:50

Definitely not! But what about.....Aldous or Benedict or Barnaby?

Whatisaweekend · 09/12/2014 19:36

No - the character is just too sad. But if you love the book/film, how about Jay as more of a nod towards it?

Roseformeplease · 09/12/2014 19:40

An adulterous bootlegger.....but the embodiment of hope, even where there is none (AKA a dreamer with criminal connections)

No, just doesn't sound like a first name

Pocketangel · 13/12/2014 14:27

No. Even for a literary fiend like myself. Gatsby is a surname. As is Darcy.

Tweediewalker · 13/12/2014 22:04

With the face linked to that name, it is no wonder you are considering it :) but I think you may regret it in the future x
