I thought I'd settled on Jude, but ds is due a week tomorrow and I'm having last minute doubts Confused

Dh and I both like Jude too, I'm just a bit worried he'll get called Judy at school Smile

What do you think sounds best?

Reuben

My 13 year old Jude has never been called Judy except by me and my husband when we are annoying him.

I like both but prefer Jude.

Reuben

Just prefer it.

Guin1 · 18/11/2014 14:20

Much prefer Jude.

I prefer Reuben.

But if you love Jude, then go for it and definately don't worry about it being shortened to Judy - it would actually make it longer! Also, Reuben could just as likely end up as Ruby!

Jude is lovely and goes well with Elodie, which I love also. There is a Jude in my daughter's school and he doesn't get called Judy. Smile

petitdonkey · 18/11/2014 14:24

I like both names but the only Reuben I know is always called Ruby or Rubes and the only Jude I know is only ever called Jude. (both lovely boys)

Chocolateporridge · 19/11/2014 22:32

Well it seems to be pretty much a 50/50 split!

Thanks very much, you've been no help whatsoever Grin

Well my ds was baby no name for two days but finally we went for Reuben Jude, as he just doesn't look like a Jude. Have had lots of lovely responses from friends to his name so I think it's a good choice.

Thanks for all your help.

That's a lovely name. To be fair you couldn't go wrong with either name.

Congrats Thanks
