Just found out we're having a boy and trying to decide on a name
Already have an ivy
Here's my short list...

Ned (dh says no though..)

I like Sidney and when I read 'ivy' I immediately thought Robert.

I thought Wilf or Vincent.

I have an Ivy too. Not expecting (yet!) but my boy name list has lots the same as yours. Topping my list are Tom and Ned at the moment. I'm put off by the popularity of Tom and that Ned is the Scottish equivalent to chav but still love these 2 best.
Also have Billy and Sid on my list but not sure I'd use them. I've been toying with Gus but again don't think I'd use it.
Also like Max, Tim, Jim and Doug. Finley was my old favourite but gone off that now.
Last night I was thinking about Buster, Chester, Baxter, Dexter and Digby. Again, don't think I'd use these.

Sidney, definitely.

Like Eric, but it's got no good nickname. I like the idea of someone having a choice of using a longer name or a snappy shortening depending on mood/personality, and Sid is great.

Ollie? Sorry, couldn't resist. Ivy is a great name. What about Albert?

I like Ralph (Rafe) Sidney, Lenny and Frank. Also Bay or Rowan would be nice with Ivy.

Eric I think is cool but to me they sound like they come from different generations.

What about Fred, Freddie or John, Johnny - both classic names
