I'm not sure- its unisex, ie Ashley banjo. Ashley from pussycat dolls.

I prefer the ley spelling.

I don't consider it a classic. I don't love it don't hate it.

It was overused in America in the 90s so I think it's dated over there as a girls name.

Neither?

vichill · 08/11/2014 19:11

Its a bit 80's and imo a tad chav.

Pantstootight · 08/11/2014 19:23

Mmmm, it does seem a bit chavy to me too.
Right, have decided that even though Dh and dd1 like it, I don't. Pretty fast decision made.
Thanks.

Not very nice, I agree with Pants

DanyStormborn · 08/11/2014 20:33

I know it's a bit 90's but I really love the name Ashley (much prefer -ley spelling, simple and prettier) for a girl.

It's Irish, but Ashling is lovely.

I prefer Ashleigh for a girl. Ashley, to me, is the boys version.
