Do you think the tv prog/book/stage show will make Hetty more popular? It would be short for Henrietta but Hetty day to day. Thanks.

Is that from Hetty Feather?

Reminds me of the pink version of a well known vacuum cleaner (with a face)

How about Hattie?

Love it

Oh yes, sorry, I meant Hetty Feather.

My dgm was hetty. Not short for anything. Just hetty.

I think this clouds my opinion a bit! I can't imagine a baby hetty.

A think as well there was some issue with her birth certificate when first issued. Gt grandmother dispatched gt grandfather to register. SE London, dropped aitches (gt gm and gt gf), so for a while hetty was etty as he didn't realise she meant H-etty!

But if I distance myself from family connections, I can see it might be OK. There was a book called "what hetty did" too.

I took the DDs to the theatre production and my oldest has read the book. I don't think it would spill over from pre-teen literature to favourite name of the year. Mind you, I know two baby Zayns, like the guy from 1D, so maybe pre-teens do influence thd top baby names.

It's ok as a nickname for Henrietta (I prefer Etta or Henny), I don't like it on its own though.
