She's called her new baby girl Elizabella. I've never heard of it before but I have to admit I really like it.

What do others think?

Love it

cherrybombxo · 17/09/2014 10:19

It's two names mashed together. I don't like it.

I feel the same about a woman I know from back home called Patrina. It's Patricia, or Katrina. Pick one.

LadyWithLapdog · 17/09/2014 10:20

Never heard of the celebrity (?) or the name. Sounds made up by parents who couldn't decide between Eliza and Isabella. A bit cringey.

squoosh · 17/09/2014 10:48

It sounds ridiculous.

Siblings Isalivia and Thomjamin.

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 17/09/2014 10:51

Silly. I'd have gone for Elizabeth or Isabella.
I've never heard of Alyssa Milano either. Who is she/he?

NachoExpress · 17/09/2014 11:03

Not sure if anyone has seen or watched Charmed? She played Phoebe. She's been in a lot of other American stuff too though.

She already has one child - a boy called Milo Thomas. I quite like that too. :)

Milomas.

NachoExpress · 17/09/2014 11:14

Haha squoosh that made me laugh. May be the start of a new name trend ;)

I quite like Tomjamin :)

I have a 1920s book about a girl named Elisabell, with the explanation that her parents couldn't decide so put two names together.

TessOfTheFurbyvilles · 17/09/2014 11:54

Elisabel is 100% legitimate, as it's the original form of the name Isabel.

They don't have the 'th' sound in Spanish, so the 'th' in Elisabeth was changed to an L, and over time the name was simplified to Isabel.

cowbiscuits · 17/09/2014 14:59

If she had a twin they could've called her Isabeth

Wow- actually now I think about it, Isabeth is really lovely

WowserBowser · 17/09/2014 15:02

It's too 'Renesmee' or whatever it is

LadyWithLapdog · 17/09/2014 15:39

I really liked the name Isadora. Now I think it could be construed as Isabella + Theodora :)

Hakluyt · 17/09/2014 15:40

Made up. Silly.

TheRealMaryMillington · 17/09/2014 15:41

It's what my mum would call a bit of a gobful

TheOpaqueAndJelliedTruth · 17/09/2014 15:44

I do really like it, but I think she'll spend her life explaining she doesn't have a speech impediment, her name really is said like that.

Nelly7890 · 17/09/2014 15:48

I wonder if the 'Eliza' bit is pronounced like it is in 'Eliza' or 'Elizabeth'?

MrsLettuce · 17/09/2014 15:49

Dunno. It's better than one name split over siblings, have heard several examples but Izzy and Sabella is the one that sticks with me.

UriGeller · 17/09/2014 15:52

I know an Elliana. Elliearrrnarrr. Its a similar sort of thing. Nothing wrong with it
per se (sorry) but its awfully frilly and ott.

DecaffTastesWeird · 17/09/2014 16:02

It sounds ridiculous.

Siblings Isalivia and Thomjamin.

Hahaha

Montsti · 17/09/2014 16:06

I've never heard of it but I think it's really pretty (am not one for "made-up" names usually)!

manicinsomniac · 18/09/2014 14:12

Well, it does sound made up/mashed up but it's still very pretty.

Elizabella and Isabeth are both lovely actually. I think you could make up a lot of rather frilly but really nice names that way actually, though it's not something I've ever considered before.

moggle · 18/09/2014 16:20

I love mash up names, our car is called Fredmund. Other favourites are:
Jimothy
Tedwin
Theopold
Tominic

Also I sell handmade stuff online and once sold an item to a lady called Kimothy...

Probably wouldn't be brave enough to use one for a baby although I do like the sound of Elizabella tbh!

SaggyAndLucy · 18/09/2014 16:28

Lol!
