Middle name help!

Hi ladies,

I'm looking for some help please! DH and I have agreed that if baby is a girl, we will call her Georgia. It was number 60 for popularity last year, which is a little higher than I'd like, but it's always been DH's favourite, it's a family name on my side, and also the place we met was on George Street, so it's quite a meaningful name for us.

As we're going for a slightly more popular first name, I'd definitely like to steer away from Rose, Grace, May, Lily etc. as a middle name. We got engaged at Walter Sisulu National Park in South Africa, so I was thinking Cicely uses the 'Sis' sound... But not sure Georgia Cicely sounds right?

Other names we like are Penelope, Dorothy, Pearl, Daisy, Beatrice, Faith, Bethany and Violet. Do you think any of these go as a middle name for Georgia, or can you make any recommendations?

Thank you!

I think Georgia Cicely sounds perfectly fine Smile

Cicely is fine. Full names are rarely heard out loud. I think it goes well anyway.

I prefer Cecily to Cicily but think it goes fine. How long is your surname? If short, I also like Georgia Beatrice, but if it's quite long then Georgia Faith is nice.

Thank you all! I wasn't sure if Georgia Cicely was a bit of a mouthful, but agree that full names are not often heard out loud. BlueStarsAtNight, our surname is 2 syllables (5 letters), so not very long. I do really love Beatrice!

Ahh I love the name Georgia so classic and beautiful:) I like Georgia Violet from your list congratulations

Georgia Cicely is lovely :) I have a little Georgia Elizabeth myself at the time Georgia was about 50 on the name stats then Prince George was born and I thought it would become really popular but as it happens we have only come across an older Georgia and not met any others at baby groups etc so really not popular in my part of the world (east mids).

from your list i think Pearl goes well - lovely name too.

Cisley does go though; my only thought is it sounds like a surname so you may get that confusion?
