Great name: everyone can spell and pronounce it, including grandparents and young cousins.

Our DS' name problem was similar: it had to work in Spanish and English.

I have met three Oscars in my entire life, age 23, early 30s and mid-40s (them, not me!). No babies/small Oscars where I am (Spain).

Oscar is lovely. And it looks like O's car when you're magic marking all their fucking cars Grin

The Oscar Pistorious case may put some people off, but if they meet my Oscar, he'll put them right!
I have always loved the name, having been a fan of Oscar Wilde since my teens Our son is an Oscar, and we could not in a million years think of a better name for him ,He is the most wonderful son anyone could wish for - sensitive, generous, intelligent, witty and wise beyond his years - it's a great name to give to a boy!
