Dh really likes Hattie but we already have a Harry. Full name would be Hattie Autumn Elisabeth, it's starting to grow on me but am not sure about it going with Harry or what reactions I would get to it as it's not a name I've heard anywhere before (apart from Hattie Jacques Smile )

I like it and it reminds me of Tom's Midnight Garden. I don't think it matters that you have a Harry

I have a Harriet who is almost always, always Hattie. So whilst I understand that Harriet probably isn't an option for you, I just wanted to affirm that Hattie is a bloody super name. Wink.

I like it but I think it's a nn for Harriet, people would assume you have a Harry & Harriet which I think is a bit odd for siblings.

Given that Hattie is a short form of Harriet, which is a feminine form of Harry, you'd basically be giving both children the same name.

It's like people who names a daughter Elizabeth, and then one Isabel, when Isabel is the Spanish form of Elizabeth. They might be different, but at the root, they're the same name.

So as much as I love Hattie, is a no from me.

It's lovely and reminds me of the sweet little Hattie in Tom's Midnight Garden. Agree it doesn't sound quite right with Harry though.

Thanks all, pretty much what I thought. I do love Lucy hatsy but fancied something a bit more adventurous, but Lucy is about only girls name we do agree on Smile

I like it but I would prefer it as a nn. For Harriet or maybe Henrietta, but obviously you can't do that as you have a Harry. Personally I would look for another name..

They're both derivatives of the same name. Like having a Henry and Harry, or George and Georgia.

Too close for me.

Another I like is Betsy or Bessie which she would be called but have Elisabeth on birth certificate. Dh not keen..,
