Our final 2 choices.

Which do you prefer? Oh, and, popularity doesn't bother me Smile

I know I said that popularity doesn't bother me but I've just scrolled down and noticed all the Sophia's Shock

Sophia!

Gruzinkerbell · 26/07/2014 18:43

Olivia.

Sophia will always have to spell her name (is that with an F? With a Y? Etc) and explain how it's pronounced (Soph-ee-a or Soph-eye-a) and she'll be in a class with every other variation which will drive her teacher nuts.

wigglesrock · 26/07/2014 19:09

I have one of each Smile.

SueESidle · 26/07/2014 19:39

Definitely Sophia.

Mrsindecision · 26/07/2014 19:41

Definitely Sophia for me.

OP, scrolled down where?

ralinax294 · 26/07/2014 19:45

Both are nice but I prefer Sophia :)

ZenNudist · 26/07/2014 19:47

Yes prefer Sophia

WildCherryBlossom · 26/07/2014 19:55

Both are beautiful. But I think I prefer Sophia by a teeny tiny margin.

Sophronia · 28/07/2014 02:24

Sophia

coffeetofunction · 28/07/2014 02:30

Olivia

KoalaDownUnder · 28/07/2014 03:18

Sophia. I think it's much prettier than Olivia.

icklekid · 28/07/2014 03:28

Olivia

ShovettyMcShovetty · 28/07/2014 08:24

Olivia

Pandora37 · 28/07/2014 10:40

I like the meaning behind Sophia (goddess of wisdom) but I think I prefer the sound of Olivia. So my vote goes to Olivia. Very tough choice though, they're both lovely. :)

Gingerjv · 28/07/2014 17:58

Oh! I love love both of the names;-)) how can i choose...;-) Maybe Olivia isn't as common as Sophia.

Lormiccro · 28/07/2014 18:05

Olivia

www.babycenter.com/popularBabyNames.htm?year=2014

Mrsindecision · 28/07/2014 20:42

That's an American site burgatroyd, not relevant for UK where I assume OP is based? Also, both Babycenter.com (US site) and Babycentre.co.uk (UK site) do not show official stats, they only represent the registered members name choices if they choose to submit them. The official name stats for the UK in 2013 will be released by The Office of National Statistics (ONS) imminently. FWIW, the official ONS 2012 stats show that Olivia was higher in the rankings than Sophia (even when combining both Sophia and Sofia).

Theonlyoneiknow · 28/07/2014 20:46

Olivia for me!

Bowlersarm · 28/07/2014 20:47

Olivia

daisydee43 · 28/07/2014 20:48

olivia - sophia always sounds like a foerign baby name to me

PrincessOfChina · 28/07/2014 20:50

I would use Sofia. I much prefer it to Sophia for no rational reason.

Ninjabread · 28/07/2014 21:30

They are both far too popular. How about Alicia or Lucia or Martha?

MrsMarigold · 28/07/2014 21:32

Olivia
