Someone I know has gone with this. I'm afraid I initially thought she was joking and may not have conducted myself very well but actually I'm starting to like it.

Triplet boys: Horace, Maurice, Norris.

squoosh · 22/07/2014 17:08

Excuse me! What about Boris?

Theas18 · 22/07/2014 17:09

Horace nn Ace is a great name.

However I have known 2 lovely lovely old gents called this so I'm biased

prettyinpink90 · 22/07/2014 17:11

Nope, definitley not for me.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 22/07/2014 17:19

Damn! Sorry, Squoosh. Quadruplet boys: Boris, Horace, Maurice, Norris. What I particularly like about that is that they rhyme but they're all spelled differently. Smile

Not a fan but totally agree with Singer.

When people say 'can't imagine a baby called x' I'm like - so what? Baby will be a teenager, an adult and probably an old person so a grown up name is MUCH better than a cutsie baby name!

Bowlersarm · 22/07/2014 19:25

I quite like it.

It would take some getting used to though.

squoosh · 22/07/2014 19:29

It would take a heck of a lot of getting used to!

Why do a lot of us connect Horace with pigs? Is there some nursery rhyme or something from our childhoods featuring a pig called Horace??

Superrhan · 23/07/2014 09:34

Horace and Horatio are just too upper class to me. Like, I can't imagine one living where I live or going to schools in this area. But if I were to send them to private school, the names became more bearable....

But too toff-y to make it on to any of my lists.

MrsBungle · 23/07/2014 09:37

Horace makes me think of the broons!

Horace is truly awful. As is Cyril and horatio in my opinion.

AlleyCat11 · 23/07/2014 09:48

Hungry Horace

Scorchienn · 23/07/2014 09:50

I like it, my ds is nicknamed Horatio, but sometimes Horace too. No bearing on his actual name.

blueberryboybait · 23/07/2014 09:55

Totally off topic but I once had a barn owl called Horace!
