I know lots of Grahams ranging from mid teens to 60's.

I also know lots of Aaron's ranging from 3 months to mid 30's.

singersgirl · 17/07/2014 14:12

I've never heard the name Rylan. Do you mean Ryan?

I know boys called all those names apart from Graham. The boys range in age from toddlers to about 20.

ShadowFall · 17/07/2014 14:15

My neighbours have a 2 yr old DGS called Kyle.....

Anyway, at the risk of stating the obvious, names go in and out of fashion.

Graham and Frank were both pretty popular a generation or two back and are now out of fashion.

Never heard of anyone called Rylan though.

SillyTillyTilly · 17/07/2014 14:19

I know one young Frank. Several boys named Aaron, though only know of, not personally. Rylan is sometimes mentioned on here, not too positively.

Graham? Hmm. I don't know of any young Grahams whatsoever. Possibly in the Keith/Norbert/Derek category (whatever that is, I've just made it up Grin)

Ludways · 17/07/2014 14:24

My 8 yo dd has a Greame in her class.

Kyle was fashionable about 15 years ago, so plenty leaving school this year. Frankie and Aaron are fairly common, know a couple of each. Don't know about Rylan, isn't it that bloke off X factor, other than that I've never heard it.

Sophronia · 17/07/2014 14:38

Aaron is probably the most popular of those names currently. Kyle was popular in the late 90s / early 2000s. Frank is one of those old names that will probably make a comeback soon. Graham is dated and Rylan is the name of someone who was on the X Factor, it may or may not become trendy.

itsnothingoriginal · 17/07/2014 16:00

I know 2 boys named Kyle and several Aarons. Don't know a younger Frank but a few female Frankie's.

Graham I would agree is unpopular at the moment but the others are probably more popular than you might think!

Now I will be surprised if names like Keith, Barry and Colin start making a comeback but you never know they could be next in fashion..

weatherall · 17/07/2014 16:05

Kyle is a top 10 name in Scotland.

I know a toddler graham.

Don't know children with those other names.

HattyMonkey · 17/07/2014 16:06

I know 2 boys named Kyle and 1 Aaron.
.

7to25 · 17/07/2014 16:06

I met a posh Aaron the other day (aged about 20)

lettertoherms · 17/07/2014 16:07

Come to the US. Those are all very plain, usual names. Er, except Rylan, but Ryan definitely is.

Notso · 17/07/2014 16:20

I know loads of Kyle's it isn't a name I like. Particularly round here it tends to be pronounced Kai-yull.

Graham was on DH's list for our DC it is a family name for him. I vetoed for the pronunciation it would be Graa-yum with a very nasal a sound.

Aaron was popular round here a while ago. I always quite liked it.

I know a few young Franks with 'trendy' parents. Often have siblings called Betty, Stanley, Edith etc.

Rylan have only heard of the Rylan. Is it even an actual name?

Stokey · 17/07/2014 16:33

There was a baby Frank and an Aaron in my NCT group with Dd1 (now 5) though Aaron was spelt differently.

I also know a Ryan aged 2

Delphiniumsblue · 17/07/2014 16:45

I know a 4yr old Graham.

TheHoundsBitch · 17/07/2014 16:48

I know Frank(ie)s Kyles and Aarons. I thought Rylan was a made up name tbh!

MsCoconut · 17/07/2014 17:18

I think Frank might come back very soon. It will start with a handful of Frankies replacing the Alfies. Then there will be all the 100 year old great uncle Francis that someone looking for a traditional name will dig up in their family tree and think is ripe for revival. The Franklins will follow not far behind.

Then in 25 years, Franklin/Frankie/Francis will be called their full names only by their mothers and Uni halls will be flooded with Franks.

This is only a prediction. I may be wrong.

HerRoyalNotness · 17/07/2014 17:22

I know an 8yo Aaron. The only Kyle I know is probably 30.
Don't know any children with the other names.

They're all perfectly nice names, but just not what is in fashion.

weatherall · 17/07/2014 17:22

Kyle is a top 10 name in Scotland.

I know a toddler graham.

Don't know children with those other names.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 17/07/2014 17:26

My friend has a Rylan - little girl though. And I think a Rylan recently won one of the many tv singing show in the US too (boy)

It's not made up Grin

wigglesrock · 17/07/2014 18:35

Aaron is very popular in my daughters primary school. I know about 7 under the age of 10. I know a baby Frank. No Rylans but if it's been a typo and you mean Ryan - it's the most popular name in my 6 year olds school year Smile

Nancy66 · 17/07/2014 19:36

Frank is already very popular with middle class trendies. I know of three Franks under five years old

Gingerjv · 17/07/2014 19:42

Aaron is rather popular right now. I know few Kyles, Aarons and Franks (mosty older people)

fanoftheinvisibleman · 17/07/2014 19:45

I know a primary age Kyle and Aaron and a few toddler Frankies (boys)

Spottybra · 17/07/2014 19:57

Frank is getting more popular where I live, along with Hugo, Sebastian and Leo.

The Kyles are all at the other school down the road.

Aaron was on ds' name list but we decided we didn't like it that much after a couple of months.

FatherSpodoKomodo · 17/07/2014 20:14

I know a Frankie, a Francis, and a Franklin, so Frank may well be back in fashion soon.

Also know plenty of Kyles (one of my own) and Aarons.

I know one Graham who is about 9 or 10.

No Rylans though. Unless you meant Ryan, in which case there are loads of them!
