I know baby names is done to death but please help -...especially if you are from ghana or the west indies

my friend jsut cant find the names shes looking for.

Its gonna be a boy and got to have either a name of ghana or rastafarian origin, maybe with religious meaning (but not christian).

shes settled on (probably) - marley and/or Jah as second names.

first names required please - all my suggestions are so traditionally english that I've been scowled at too many times so want my next suggestion to be good.

A friend of mine from Ghana called her boy Kwame which I think is lovely.

kwame is on the list but it means saturday and refers to children born on saturday, therefore will be used if arrives on a saturday

a friend of mine whose partner is from Ghana have a little boy called senna. I don't know what it means (think it might be a place in ghana actually?) but i always thought it was a lovely names

Jude / Judah - Rastafarians link themselves to this tribe of Israel.

Leo - as per the Lion of Judah - hence the reason to wear locks.

Haile (as in Selassi I)- Rastafarians believe that he is descended from the queen of Sheba

David - Queen of Sheba supposedly had a son for King David hence the line from the tribe of Judah.

Marcus - (Garvey - a lot of the rastafarian's beliefs stem from the writings of Garvey)

Hi my husband is Ghanaian so he can probably come up with loads.

Here are some of the ones I know kofi, kwami, kotei, kessi (spot the pattern) and my favorite because it is my sons middle name nii-koi (pronounced knee-qway)

anything beginning with J's or M's would be good if he can think of any, taking into consideration the likely middle names.

the children so far have 3 names each - ds1 has c c c and ds2 has j j j.
