DH thinks the ending is problematic but I like the Shakespearean reference.

Koala you absolutely are not the only one. Never seen it!

McBear · 04/07/2014 19:55

No koala. I think he's got funny eyes.

Are we the only two?

scarletforya · 04/07/2014 20:02

Koala, no you're deffo not. He's got sheep's eyes!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 04/07/2014 20:04

I have a cousin Benadick, all his sibs have Shakespearian names too.

He goes by Ben these days I think...

RhinestoneCowgirl · 04/07/2014 20:05

Oh and Benedict Cumberbatch looks like a weird otter person: FACT

Nereida · 04/07/2014 23:06

There's Bendix as well, which is used in Germany.

Farahilda · 04/07/2014 23:12

I thought Bendix was a brand of dishwasher (probably German?)

Nereida · 04/07/2014 23:24

I think it is Grin but I've heard it as a name too. I think there's a character in Thomas Mann's Buddenbrooks called Bendix.

TiggyD · 04/07/2014 23:28

Benny's what now?

AnotherSpinningFuckingRainbow · 04/07/2014 23:28

Bendicks are mints

Fideliney · 05/07/2014 05:14

Being named for after dinner mints is seeming preferable to being named for an ubiquitous actor with alien cheekbones TBF.

Or maybe Bennett

No you're not, Koala.

What's wrong with Benjamin?

Fideliney · 05/07/2014 10:07

Too biblical Sign

NO.

Barnabas? Barney is cute.

telsa · 06/07/2014 19:30

It is lovely. I have a very good friend called Benedick.

Gingerjv · 06/07/2014 19:35

Don't do it to your child;-) your HB is totaly right!

Alisvolatpropiis · 07/07/2014 16:36

Nooooo op! Nooooo! Grin

Bennett is ok bit very much a surname, to my mind anyway.

Is it a B name you want?

FidelineAndBombazine · 07/07/2014 18:16

TY telsa.

I am still loving Benedick, I have to say.

Maybe the feeling will wear off?

Bennett was DH's suggestion. I'm not really feeling it. I'm not sure he is either TBH.

I particularly like Benedick but I also like the diminutive Ben.

I actually really like Barnaby/ Barnabas although not my normal style.

Completely jumping the gun as only at the TTC/2WW stage, but the idle Benedick conversation turned into a stand-oof in record time so I decided to canvass some opinio

telsa · 07/07/2014 20:42

Well, my friend often goes by the name of Ben, but gleefully corrects people who assume he is Benjamin, by saying Benedick, actually, from 12th Night.

oxygenna · 07/07/2014 22:17

Just a bit problematic. Hmm that you needed to ask.

Catsmamma · 07/07/2014 22:21

Doesn't the dog who texts have a friend called Benedick?
