Cool quirky baby girl names

I've just found out I am pregnant and due DC2 in March next year- already have one daughter, now need another girl's name as we already have a boy's name. DH has vetoed all of my suggestions. I want something strong and cool.

Give me your best names, please!

Loads of names I love- still getting no.

Cecilia, Iris,Gwen, Orla, El-anything are off the table due to family and friends.

We've both said we like Phoebe, but it feels like a compromise.

Phoebe is lovely but it's hardly unusual, cool or quirky anymore. Hasn't been for over 20 years!

Exactly!

I love Clover. But no one else does. Can't even get my mum on board.

Pregnancy is making me grumpy too. I might just register her as Clover anyway. He can get used to it.

Loving this thread, definitely names I love but dh would veto them, the bastard.
Some of my favourites that I'll never be able to use:
Eaffrey (old English Saint and Aphra Behn's birth name)
Plum (sounds ridiculous with my surname sadly but may work with yours!)
Arden (as in the forest in Shakespeare)
Eden
Adeline (working on finding a variant of this that dh will accept...)

We had Astrid, Anouk, Penelope, violet and Genevieve on our list and the name we actually used had been mentioned twice on this thread.

I don't think of it as quirky but it is unusual and we get lots of positive comments on it and don't know any other children with the same name.

Hello 5mad, I just thought of you when I saw your DDs name! My DD is mentioned here too. She is a cool, quirky, strong teen, so it worked!

Love Genevieve too, was on our list as was Clementine. Also love Helena but would have shortened to Nell or Nelly.

Love Clover, go for it!

Suikhi/suki and hazel were also on our list and dd was very nearly a Genevieve but I knew it would get shortened to gen/Jen which we don't like so we didn't use it, I still love the name though.

Dd's middle names (she has two) are both listed on this thread as well :)
